Balloon Parade

What’s better than watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade… making your own parade!

We had so much fun learning about the history of the parade by reading Balloons Over Broadway: The true story of the puppeteer of Macy’s parade. So naturally we got to work making balloon puppets using streamers, wooden skewers, markers, and tape. Our parade featured a jellyfish, a dinosaur, a doll, and of course Clifford the Big Red Dog. They put on the best parade for a cheering Grandmama.
