The Classic

I first made gingerbread play dough for my nieces and nephews many years ago at Christmas. It’s a crowd favorite, and still a classic recipe for me that sends a wave of nostalgia each time I make it. As a Kindergarten teacher, I love reading a book that correlates with our theme/ activity. The Gingerbread Boy by Paul Galdone is the fairytale we all know. My students also enjoy The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School by Laura Murray. We have fun hiding gingerbread cookies and leaving clues for them to follow around the school.

Gingerbread play dough kits are the perfect supplemental sensory activity for your own kiddos or for your class.
